Kia is giving other Asian-based car brands a run for their money in recent years. The auto maker has reinvented itself, moving from a maker of a few economy models, to branching into luxury sedans, mid-sized SUVs, and minivans. The Optima sedan has become a sporty family contender. The Sorento and Sportage fill in the crossover gap. And the Forte is causing Civic and Corolla shoppers to take a serious look. Kia owners especially like the company's hard-to-beat 10-year/100,000 mile warranty. But even Kia cars will eventually need replacement parts. That's when owners should look to Get All Parts' nationwide inventory of high-quality aftermarket Kia parts. Get All Parts leads the nation in affordable auto parts, and we provide a free five-year limited warranty on every Kia part purchase.

Founded in 1944, Kia is South Korea's oldest car company, but did not actually begin manufacturing its own automobiles until 1962. In the US, Kia began a partnership with Ford and Mazda in 1986, creating versions of their jointly made cars for overseas markets. The first vehicles created by Kia to be sold in the US in the early 1990s were the Sephia compact and Sportage SUV. Since then Kia dealerships have been established across the country.
Due to a bankruptcy filing in 1997, Hyundai took controlling ownership of Kia, although it now maintains about a one-third stake in the company. Since then the two manufacturers have marketed versions of similarly platformed vehicles. Kia now assembles cars for the US at its own plant in Georgia.
From modest beginnings, Kia has revolutionized itself in recent years, revamping its lineup with bold new designs and technologies, and gaining greater market share. Kia has introduced clean-diesel and hybrid technologies into such models as the Optima sedan and Soul crossover car. The company has also broken into the luxury market with two sedans, the Cadenza and K900.
