For a few years, Hummer seemed to dominate the SUV market. Now, however, the Hummer brand and its military-inspired vehicles are no more. Drivers with a need for high levels of ruggedness and durability may still need an SUV like a Hummer for heavy-duty work. The H2 was the Tahoe-based model with the looks of the classic military transport. The smaller H3 offered a more manageable option, while the H3T truck variant provided a useful alternative. As the brand’s parts are no longer being made by the manufacturer, Hummer owners will be looking for a source of reliable, affordable, high-quality replacement parts. Turn to Get All Parts and our nationwide inventory of aftermarket parts for your Hummer, and also receive a free five-year limited warranty on your purchase.

Hummer was once an explosively popular truck and SUV maker that met its demise during the auto industry crisis of 2008-2009. GM purchased the brand from AM General in 1998 to sell the civilian version of the military Humvee to drivers wanting extreme levels of ruggedness and size. Hummer extended the H1's success into the H2 and H3, smaller vehicles based on existing truck platforms, and even into its version of a pickup, the H3T.
As GM neared bankruptcy in 2008 and US gas prices began to soar, auto buyers abandoned Hummer and the other full-sized SUVs they had come to love only a few years prior. Vehicles like Hummer were even the targets of activists who claimed such inefficient vehicles and their emissions were partly responsible for climate change and other infringements upon nature.
GM officially discontinued the Hummer brand in 2009 and its dealerships closed.
